Weekly Sitting Meditation

(Between 5th ave and University)
PLEASE NOTE: OUR LAST MEDITATION OF THE SEMESTER WILL BE MAY 2, 2012. WEEKLY SITTING WILL RESUME IN AUGUST, 2012
The type of meditation we practice at The Spirituality Project is simple (but not always easy!) breath and awareness exercises that bring our attention to the present moment. Through this practice, we relax and rejuvenate our bodies, see the world around us more clearly, and act with more compassion towards ourselves and others.

FREE Weekly Vinyasa Yoga Class with Emily Bielagus

PLEASE NOTE: OUR LAST YOGA CLASS OF THE SEMESTER WILL BE MAY 2, 2012. WEEKLY YOGA WILL RESUME IN SEPTEMBER, 2012.
In this one hour Vinyasa-style movement party, we will practice an invigorating series of asanas, or poses, that will challenge you, shift your perspective, open your heart, and prepare your body for the stillness of meditation. In other words, let’s put our bodies in motion while giving our minds a rest. All levels (including beginners!) are welcome.
Emily Bielagus, RYT, has been teaching yoga to adults and teens since 2008. She is certified at the 500-hour level by Atmananda Yoga Sequence and also holds a degree in Dance from Oberlin College. She is the in-house Yoga Instructor at the offices of Etsy.com and Kickstarter.com; she also teaches at Shambhala Yoga & Dance Center and the High School of Economics and Finance.
